Basic characteristics
- Excellent utilisation of space
- Narrower aisle widths
- High level of throughput
- Incremental upgrading options up to fully automatic
Narrow aisle racking systems are a major alternative to multi-bay racking systems. They offer all the performance features of multi-bay racking at heights above 10 m and are freestanding in the warehouse. They are characterised by the small amount of floor space required for aisles and the extremely large lift heights. Narrow aisle racking is used in particular when a) there is only limited space available and b) there is a necessity for greater throughput in comparison with multi-bay racking systems.

Advantages in detail
Narrow aisle racking systems are ideally suited to storing large quantities of individual, primarily palleted items. In comparison with block storage, narrow aisle racking systems offer the advantages of pressure-free storage and direct access to all pallets in combination with narrow aisle widths. The easy adjustment of the beams guarantees optimum usage of the warehouse. Double-deck storage is also possible.
The racking is stocked with rail/inductively guided narrow aisle trucks or rack operating equipment. This enables the aisle width to be reduced by up to 1400 mm.
